BREAKING: The Iranian government has confirmed the deaths of its President Ebrahim Raisi (right), Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and several other officers who died in a helicopter crash on Sunday (the night of today).
The accident happened in northwestern Iran, on a hillside in Varzaghan region, near the border to East Azerbaijan.
According to preliminary reports, severe weather conditions have been cited as the cause of the crash.
