Mikheil Kavelashvili who is the President-elect of Georgia has been sworn in today to start serving the nation as his predecessor strikes from the National Assembly.

Mikheil has been sworn in yesterday, Sunday December 29, 2024 at the grounds of the National Assembly in Tbilisi, as protesters supporting the outgoing president, Salome Zourabichvili flooded the streets.

When Mikheil was sworn in, Salome was addressing thousands of protesters gathered outside the National House that he does not recognize the president-elect for what he claimed he did not enter power illegally.

According to Salome, Mikheil’s appointment as the president of that country is null and void because the lawmakers who voted for him to lead the nation are based on elections held in October this year, an election that he claims was molested by controversy.
