D.K. MWINYI MEET WITH THE WORLD ANGLICAN ARCHIEF BISHOP WELBY.

The President of Zanzibar and the Chairman of the Council of Mapinduzi Hon. Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi has said that the Government will continue to cooperate with the Anglican Church and other religious institutions to maintain peace and stability.

President Dk. Mwinyi has said that when he met with the leader of the Anglican Church in the world, Arch Bishop Justin Welby and his message who arrived at the Zanzibar State House on 11th May 2024

President Dr. Mwinyi has thanked Bishop Justin Welby for his visit to Zanzibar.

Bishop Justin Welby has given condolences to President Dk. Mwinyi over the death of the former president of Zanzibar and the United Republic of Tanzania Mr. Ali Hassan Mwinyi.

The message has also congratulated him for his efforts to bring development to the citizens of Zanzibar.

President Dk. Mwinyi will participate tomorrow a service of reconciliation due to the atrocities done to Africans during the slavery trade in the main church of Christ Mkunazini which will be led by the archbishop, Honorable Justin Welby.
