The co-presidents of the Republic of Cabo Verde, Debora Katisa Morais Brazao Carvalho, Republic of Ghana Rebecca Victoria Akufo-Addo and Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, . E. Maria De Fatima Alfonso Vila Nova has arrived in the country to participate in the 11th Merck Foundation Africa Asia Luminary Conference, which will be held on 29-30 October, 2024
This meeting aims to discuss and find solutions to various health and social challenges facing the African continent and Asia.
The meeting will also focus on raising awareness of various health issues and looking at ways of collaborating to improve access to quality health services across Africa and Asia.
At Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA), they have been received by Hon. @gwajimad Minister of Social Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups.
