Nigeria plans to suspend tariffs on some export food items including wheat and maize for 150 days in an attempt to curb inflation in Africa’s most populated nation
Nigerian Minister of Agriculture, Abubakar Kyari, said the move is part of the government’s policy to tackle inflation of food prices
The minister has said that the government will import 250,000 tonnes of wheat and 250,000 tonne of maize from the outside half-processed and those aimed at small scale traders.
