A court in Peru has sentenced former president Alejandro Toledo, 78, to 20 years and six months in prison for bribery and money embezzlement.
Prosecutors say Toledo took $35 million (TZS 95.3 billion) in fraud from a Brazilian construction company that was awarded a contract to build a road in southern Peru.
